These boats looked to me like they would capsize in a bathtub, but the local fishermen had no qualms about taking them far out onto the open ocean. The boats were exactly what the pictures show -- several old logs lashed together with a rusty motor bolted onto the back. Seeing people making their living using boats like these gives a good idea of how tough life can be.
