Rather than finding their own fish, the eagles often just stole a fish away from another eagle by swooping down on him. Only rarely would an eagle that had a fish stand his ground, but when one chose to do so it was with a display of outstretched wings and high-pitched shrieks. Definitely an impressive thing to watch.
